Manage who can create top level topics in your Slab organization

Updated over a year ago

Top level topics in Slab are topics that are not organized under a parent topic. Slab admins have the ability to limit who can create top level topics in their organization.

There are two ways to create a top level topic in Slab:

  1. Creating a new topic at the top level.

  2. Turning an existing subtopic into a top level topic.

Admins can allow all users (except guests) to create top level topics, or they can restrict this capability to only admins. No matter the setting, Standard users can still create subtopics for topics they have permission to edit.

Changing your top level topic setting

  1. Click your team name in the top-left corner of the sidebar.

  2. Click Team settings in the dropdown menu.

  3. Click Security in the left sidebar.

  4. Under Permissions, click Edit next to Top level topics.

  5. Select one of the options.

  6. Click Save to apply the changes.
