Update your billing details, change your plan, and more

On the Billing page, Slab admins can change your Slab plan type, update credit card information, change who receives billing emails, and cancel your account. 

Trial Period

Slab offers a 14-day trial period for Startup and Business plans for teams on the free plan.

To start a trial:

  1. Go to the Billing page.

  2. Next to Choose a plan, select Monthly or Annual.

  3. Select Startup or Business.

  4. Click Start trial.

Payment methods

All plans can be paid via credit card or ACH invoicing. Credit card will be the default when you subscribe, but you can contact us at any time to switch to ACH.

Change your plan

To change your plan:

  1. Click the Edit button next to your current plan on the Billing page.

  2. Select a new plan and choose a monthly or annual billing option.

  3. Click Save.

If you are downgrading from Business to Startup, premium integrations will no longer work in your account. If you have any questions about our plans or pricing, give us a shout — we're happy to help.

Update credit card details

If your card has expired, or if you just need

To update the card on file:

  1. Click the Edit next to your current card details.  

  2. Enter your new credit card information.

  3. Click Update.

Enter your new card information, then click the Update button. We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. 

Change who gets invoice emails

Need to send receipts to your accounting team? You can change who receives payment receipts and invoices as needed.

To change who receives invoices:

  1. Click the Change link in the Payment method section on the Billing page.

  2. Add a new email address.

  3. Click Update email.

Cancel your subscription

We'll be sorry to see you go! If you decide to cancel your Slab subscription: 

  • Export your data if needed. Learn more about export options in this article

  • You can continue to write and edit posts up until your next billing date. Say you decide to cancel on October 7 but your billing date is October 28. You will still have full editing access even after you cancel. 

  • But once that date has passed, all of your posts will become read-only. That means you won't be able to edit or reorganize any of your posts. 

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Click the Cancel button under the Danger zone on the Billing page.

  2. Provide a reason for canceling your subscription.

  3. Click Confirm.

Your subscription will be canceled immediately and will not be charged again.
