Seamlessly moving your files into Slab
Updated over a week ago

Do you have documents stored in Markdown, HTML, or Docx format? You can easily import them into Slab.

Single file importing

To import a single Markdown, HTML, or Docx file:

  1. Click the arrow on the right of the Create post button

  2. Hover over Import from file

  3. Click on Markdown, HTML, or Docx, depending on your file type

From here, you can choose and upload your file.

Bulk importing

As an admin, you can bulk-upload Markdown or HTML files:

  1. Create a zip archive with the Markdown or HTML files for importing

  2. In Slab, click your team name in the top-left corner of the sidebar and select Team Settings from the dropdown menu

  3. In the sidebar, go to Import & Export

  4. Click Import next to the Files option

From here, you can select (or drag and drop) the zip file of your HTML or Markdown documents.

Tip: Folders inside the zip file will become topics in Slab!
